Reward benchmarking in the Maritime sector

Journey4 have been appointed by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) to complete a pay and reward benchmark study for His Majesty’s Coastguard looking at similar government and emergency service operators on a regional and national level.

The MCA is an Executive Agency of the Department for Transport and is responsible throughout the UK for implementing and developing UK Government maritime safety and environmental protection policy. This includes co-ordinating Search and Rescue at sea through His Majesty’s Coastguard (HMCG).

This contract has been commissioned through the Government’s Management Consultancy Three Framework – Lot 5 (MCF03) and will provide an evidential base to assist HM Coastguard develop appropriate and tailored strategies to improve recruitment and retention and ensure that its staff are correctly graded, paid and rewarded.
