Journey4 have been appointed to complete an Options Analysis for a new Rail Academy in the north
On behalf of the Great British Railway Transition Team (GBRTT), Northern Trains have been asked to look at specific initiatives that could benefit the wider industry including developing a Rail Academy for the North, (RAfN).
Journey4 have completed the Discovery Phase assessing the feasibility for an academy and have now been asked to undertake an options analysis and completion of preliminary business case.
The vision for the Academy is to become the rail supplier of choice to attract, recruit and develop a pipeline of diverse new rail talent with the skills, knowledge and behaviours that will deliver exceptional service and enable social mobility within Northern communities.
Neil Stephenson, Head of Learning and Talent at Northern Trains, commented, “I was delighted with how well Journey4 quickly integrated themselves in the business and with the level of engagement the Programme Team achieved across our organisation in such a short amount of time”
Stuart Pearce, Journey4 Director commented, “We were delighted with the findings during the Discovery phase of the project and look forward to translating these opportunities into series of options along with a financial appraisal of each, for review by GBRTT, as project sponsors, and all the stakeholders involved in this project.”
