Leading Rail and Utilities Executive joins Journey4

Journey 4 is proud to announce that David McLoughlin, a leading executive within the Rail and Utilities market sector, has joined as an Advisor to the business.

With some 30 years’ experience primarily in the Rail and Utilities sector, operating both on the client and contractor side, David brings a deep understanding of customer requirements in these key market sectors. He will work with the Directors of the business, supporting the development of its business strategy and service development and help guide the business through the next phase of its growth.

David was formerly the Finance and Commercial Director of Network Rail and the CEO of Spencer Rail. He has worked for Amey Utilities where he was the Interim Managing Director as well as spending a period of his career working for KPMG as an Associate Director, providing David with experience of professional services.  David is a Management Accountant by trade and a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

David is currently the CEO of Rail Business Daily, a leading publication reaching 35,000 rail professionals every day. Rail Business Daily also provides a range of support services for businesses in the rail sector and an online business directory. David is also a Non-Executive of Unipart Rail and Linbrooke Services Ltd, a leading independent rail and infrastructure solutions business.

We are very excited to welcome David into the Journey4 family. We have a strong track record in delivery within the rail and utilities sector over the past 18 years, but we believe that the vision that David has for supporting and growing professional service companies meets our requirements at this stage in the company’s developmentsaid Jonathan Booth, Director at Journey4.

David will provide advice to the Directors across all the market sectors in which the business operate, with a focus on Rail, Utilities and Business Outsourcing (Support Services).  These sectors face enormous customer engagement and culture challenges, both in the wake of the Coronavirus epidemic in terms of demand management, and in terms of brand experience and delivering value.
