Journey4 appointed to support housing provider on new 10-year business strategy

Journey4 has been appointed by Plymouth Community Homes to support the development of their new 10-year business strategy. Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) is the largest social housing provider in the Plymouth area with 35,000 properties providing homes for 16,000 people.

This initial phase of work focused on a review of the organisation’s Vision, Mission and Strategic plan, and we applied our award-winning Strategy Development process. We engaged with the Executive Team and wider senior leadership team, working with them to develop a long-term strategy, taking a 10 year view on the growth in the region, adopted the Journey4 Parallel Planning process, aligning strategic aims to short term planning objectives.

“Journey4’s strategy development process provided the ideal framework to help us review and update our strategic plan. With their support, we were able to develop a more ambitious, longer term plan and challenge ourselves to set far-reaching objectives which will enable PCH as an organisation to make an even bigger impact in the South West region. Journey4’s approach engaged senior colleagues allowing the strategy development process to bring together wider insights, before we move ahead on consulting with residents and colleagues across PCH”. Jonathan Cowie, Chief Executive of PCH.

Stuart Pearce, Director of Journey4 commented, “We are delighted to be supporting Plymouth Community Homes with the development of their long-term business strategy. It is an exciting time for the region and an opportunity for PCH to play a leading role in the South West region, supporting and enabling growth. The PCH Executive Team are also committed to being genuinely customer focused and recognised that Journey4 would be the ideal partner to help develop a customer-driven strategy.”
