Journey4 are proud to announce that they have been appointed as members of the Hinkley Professional Services Group (PSG) – a collection of businesses that have direct experience of advising businesses or consortia already involved in the Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station project.
The United Kingdom is at the beginning of a new phase of new nuclear energy. Hinkley Point C (HPC) is the first nuclear power station to be built in the UK in a generation.
But it is more than just the construction of a power station: it is a catalyst for meeting our national ambition to generate low carbon energy along with improving skills and productivity. A key focus is on using regional businesses in the supply chain, where possible. To date over £1.7bn has been spent with regional companies.
Hinkley PSG members are collaborative and bring valuable experience becoming trusted advisors to their clients. Among the members are business consultants like Journey4, law firms, accountancy practices, human resource and project management specialists.
Journey4 will focus on providing clients with assistance in the negotiation, award and mobilisation of contracts and in-contract delivery and project management.
On appointment to the Consortium, Director Stuart Pearce said:
“Journey4 has been working in the energy sector since 2002, supporting organisations involved in complex supply chains and helping them to translate the requirements of Tier 1 contractors.
Joining Hinkley PSG and being part of the national green energy transformation is hugely exciting and provides a key opportunity to support clients in their bid and contract award wins to support the construction and development of the power station and its support services. “
Graham Potts, Chairman of Hinkley PSG said:
“We are delighted to welcome Journey4 to the Hinkley PSG. They have deep sector knowledge of the energy and utilities market and experience of working within complex supply chains.
They have helped mobilise large capital contracts and manage the delivery of projects for supply chain partners. Their range of business consultancy services compliments and adds to our existing range of services”
