Growth Needs Assessment
Serco’s Justice and Immigration had been operating one Prison Escort Contract for the Home Office which it successfully retained whilst also winning a new contract. As these two, geographically aligned, contracts were mobilised and brought together under common management, a number of service performance issues came to light and Journey4 was asked to undertake a review and recommend an improvement programme.
We held 1-2-1 meetings with the business leaders, followed by workshops with the leadership team, management team and frontline teams at different locations to identify the key issues. Once we had agreed the key priorities for improvement, we develop a transformation programme for the leadership team to implement, having checked they had the capability and capacity to do so.
We also prepared a report of our findings and recommendations which was submitted to Serco’s Justice and Immigration leadership team.
Impact of our work
Our report and recommendations were accepted and the improvement programme implemented internally.
